Hey kitchen friends!
I want to teach you how to make pure almond milk, which is really good for cooking purposes. It's very plane- so if you're looking to drink it in your morning coffee or blend it into a smoothie you may way to play this recipe up.
Super simple, all you need is a high speed blender, something to strain you milk in- I like to use a metal sieve, but nut milk bags work great as well, and you'll also need an airtight container to store your milk in.
For the ingredients you will need:
1 cup of almond flour OR 6 oz blanched almonds
3 3/4 cups of filtered water
1/4 tsp sea salt
Blend all the ingredients together on high speed until it's a smooth mixture. Then filter through the metal sieve or milk bag and store in your airtight container until ready for use.
This milk will last 7 days in the fridge.
If you want to make this milk a little more enjoyable by itself try adding in some maple syrup, dates, or cinnamon!
